Overview

Axesa (CMI Digital Media) is a digital marketing agency in Puerto Rico with a long advertising lineage: Google Ads, video, social, websites, branding, OOH, and directories. The site needed to stop feeling like a legacy catalog and match a Google Premier Partner and Meta Business Partner.

In 2026 I delivered the frontend redesign of axesa.com: new structure, interface, and a React / Next.js codebase focused on reusable components, performance, and premium scroll with GSAP, Motion, and Lenis.

Challenge

Axesa sells a full ecosystem to local businesses that need to understand what advertising actually does calls, site visits, branding, foot traffic. A crowded menu or a generic home dilutes that story.

The work was to redesign hierarchy and UI so every block has a job, with fluid motion and consistent layout on desktop and mobile, without turning the site into a heavy motion demo.

Approach

I treated the redesign as a frontend product: a component system, visual rhythm, and motion in service of reading:

  • New information architecture: services grouped (Google and Video, Social, Websites, Marketing, OOH, directories) and clear paths to portfolio and contact.
  • Visual hierarchy centered on business outcomes, not only platform names.
  • Frontend with React and Next.js: reusable components, a maintainable base, and pages with strong SEO potential.
  • Motion design with GSAP, Motion, and Lenis for transitions and premium scroll, without losing performance control.
  • Responsive layout with Tailwind CSS: typography, rhythm, and consistency across desktop and mobile.

Solution

The production site guides visitors from the brand promise to a consultation:

  • Hero with a clear value proposition: digital advertising driven by strategy, data, and experience, plus a CTA to explore services.
  • Authority metrics (+4K campaigns, +2K businesses, +1.5K websites, +110 years) treated as proof, not filler.
  • Outcome blocks (digital presence, calls, web traffic, branding, audiences, physical visits) that translate ads into business.
  • Service navigation and Google Premier Partner / Meta Business Partner marks for credibility in Puerto Rico.
  • Multiple conversion paths: consultation, WhatsApp, call, and San Juan office details.
  • Group directories and legal pages, with a complete agency footer.

Results

  • The brand reads as a contemporary agency, not a leftover corporate site.
  • Services are browsed by family and by business outcome, not a flat list.
  • A Next.js and React base ready to iterate on service, portfolio, and contact pages.
  • Premium scroll and micro-interactions (Lenis, GSAP, Motion) aligned with high-end UX.
  • A coherent responsive experience on desktop and mobile, with controlled type and rhythm.

Learnings

  • In a multi-service agency, design for outcomes (calls, visits, brand), not only for channels (Google, Meta).
  • Next.js fits when the site needs App Router, service pages, and a long-lived component base.
  • Lenis + GSAP + Motion work when motion serves hierarchy, not as a constant decorative layer.
  • An in-house brand redesign deserves the same rigor as a client project: clarity, rhythm, and conversion.
